Calling all Coachella Valley non-profit organizations, The Champions Volunteer Foundation 2022 grant application is now open!
Any eligible organization is invited to apply for a charitable grant at the following link, as the foundation plans to support up to 50 nonprofits dedicated to youth, recreational, educational and well-care programs in the local desert valley community. Grants will be only be awarded to organizations who pledge to commit to using all of the proceeds in the Coachella Valley.
Started in 2001 as a certified non-profit associated with the BNP Paribas Open, The Champions Volunteer Foundation operates under the mission of using sports as a vehicle to bring people together and promote a powerful philanthropic spirit. The foundation annually allocates funds from the BNP Paribas Open, the most attended tennis event in the world outside the four Grand Slams, and commits to giving back to local nonprofit organizations aiming to empower charitable causes in the Coachella Valley.
The Champions Volunteer Foundation focuses on non-profits who support the most vulnerable among us – including the youth, elderly and low-income residents of our community. During its most recently completed application period in 2019, grant recipients included organizations such as The Desert Cancer Foundation, ABC Recovery Center, The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and many others.
Due to its affiliation with the BNP Paribas Open, the organization also provides an array of exciting volunteer opportunities to get involved with some of the Desert Valley’s most notable sports and entertainment events of the year. The Champions Volunteer Foundation recruits more than 1,200 volunteers to support the BNP Paribas Open each March, as well as other major local events throughout the year such as the USA Pickleball National Championships, Indian Wells Arts Festival, FILA Easter Bowl and more.
Grant applications are officially open through November 15. Full application instructions and eligibility details can be found here.
